EU-LE-NET is a non profit organisation for increasing success in reading and works
together with parents, pupils, students, teachers on the one hand and schools, universities,
departments, libraries, bookshops, editors, writers, a.o.
The "Europäisches-Lese-Netzwerk" (European Reading Network) EU-LE-NET is a consortium
of teachers, publishers and other interested people with the intention to improve
the reading competence of children and adolescent persons. EU-LE-NET was founded
2002 in Vienna (Austria) as a non-profit association. This network supports varied
activities of reading education in school and out of school. The members of EU-LE-NET
developes new paradigm of cooperation with schools, editions, booktraders and public
libraries. They tries to connect reading education in school with reading in spare
time and in profession. EU-LE-NET organizes for this purpose symposia, configures
web presences in the Austrian education server and publicizes brochures too.
